The Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre (TAC) is a community-controlled organisation providing holistic health services across Lutruwita/Tasmania. We’re seeking General Practitioners to join our Aboriginal Health Service teams in Launceston and Devonport.
The Position
About the Role
Provide culturally safe, comprehensive primary health care to Aboriginal individuals and families, including acute care, chronic disease management, preventative care and health promotion. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, high‑quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality primary health care
- Support chronic disease management and health promotion
- Participate in preventative and population health activities
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
About You
- AHPRA registered GP
- RACGP/ACRRM Fellowship or vocational registration
- Medical indemnity insurance
- Understanding of Aboriginal health or willingness to learn
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to cultural safety and quality care
Pre‑Employment Requirements
- Driver’s licence
- COVID‑19 vaccination
- National Police Check
- WWVP card
- Other screening as required
